Did you know Auto-Renew is turned on for your software?

Chances are, if you have made a purchase in Autodesk’s New Buying Experience then auto-renew is turned on for that software you purchased.

How does Auto-Renew work?
  • All newly purchased software (except for Flex, ACC Value-Based, and Premium offerings) will be set to automatically renew unless customers turn off auto-renew within their Autodesk Account after the initial purchase.

  • If a customer turns off auto-renew, it will remain off until it is turned on again. 

  • If auto-renew is turned on, customers will receive an email 30 days prior to renewal that will include published pricing at the time of when the renewal notice is sent, and that they will be charged (to their previous payment method) or invoiced at the renewal date. (Customers that previously paid by invoice will receive a reminder email 90 days prior to renewal, as well. Pricing will not be included in this email.) 

  • If a customer has “pay by invoice” as their payment method, and has auto-renew turned on, they may need to change their PO number in Autodesk account. If a PO number is not changed in Autodesk account, the previous PO number will be presented on the current invoice.

  • MESA can still configure a quote for a customer, even if auto-renew is turned on.
​How to turn Auto-Renew On/Off:
Log into your Autodesk Account. Click the circle with your initials at the top right-hand corner of the page. Then follow the below steps (and image showing these steps is located on the next page):

  • Under the Account header, click the Subscription and
         Contracts link.
  • For individual subscriptions, click the subscription line item.
  • This will bring up the Renewal Details section.
  • Scroll to the bottom of the Renewal Details section
          and click Turn on/off.
  • A side panel will slide out and ask if you are sure. Click
  • Continue to proceed with turning auto-renew on/off.

If you would like to change the auto-renew setting for more than one subscription at once, you can change up to 100 subscriptions at a time with the following steps:
  • Navigate to the Subscriptions & Contracts tab (same as above), and then select Manage auto-renew from the Actions drop down at the top.
  • Click on the arrows to see all subscriptions with auto-renew currently turned on or off.
  • Select the subscriptions you would like to adjust (or select all with the top checkbox). Then click continue.

  • If you are choosing to turn auto-renew off, you’ll be prompted to complete a brief survey to confirm your changes.
  • A confirmation will appear on-screen stating the changes were successful.
  • You will also receive a confirmation email.
