"Contact your Vault Administrator" - new in Vault 2026!
We were recently asked to help out on a project for a customer that I had worked with before. We had worked in their Vault before and had a username and password already. However, when logging in this time, a message appeared that the account had been disabled and to ‘Please contact the Vault Administrator’. Simple, right? Well, there had been some turnover, the account had been disabled and we were not completely sure who had taken on the Vault Administrator role.
The error message said to contact the Vault Administrator, but who was it? Well, the Autodesk Vault team must have heard this before. New in 2026 we now have the ability to add the Vault Administrator’s contact information to the ‘Please contact…..’ message.
To do this, access the Security Tab on the Global Settings dialog box.
Note: This field is optional and has a 255-character limit.

This contact information will display for all users whenever they see the "Contact your Vault Administrator" message in Vault Client.
Since this project was only going to be for a short time, and we would only need access to their Vault for a couple of months, we discussed when they could disable the account again. Also new in 2026, is the ability to schedule or set a ‘disable on’ date to automatically disable an account on a specified date.
To do this, access the Security Tab on the Global Settings dialog box.
