We are seeking a skilled AutoCAD Mechanical Detailer to produce detailed 2D fabrication, installation, and manufacturing drawings. Key Responsibilities
- Create and revise complete sets of detailed drawings for fabrication, installation, and manufacturing.
- Apply knowledge of mechanical, structural, and piping detailing standards and practices.
- Work collaboratively with engineers, project managers, and clients to ensure accurate and timely deliverables.
- Manage multiple project deadlines and maintain organized documentation.
- We all pitch in to get the projects done on time and with the upmost accuracy. You willingness to help in support, training and other areas when time allows is vital to our growth and success.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years of full-time 2D AutoCAD experience (heavy use required).
- Associate’s Degree in CADD or equivalent technical discipline.
- AutoCAD Certified Professional preferred.
- Experience with any of the following is a plus: Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD Electrical, AutoCAD Plant 3D, AutoCAD Civil 3D, Navisworks, or Revit.

Key Responsibilities
- Create and modify detailed 3D models and 2D drawings for mechanical components, assemblies, and systems using one or more of the following applications: Inventor, Solidworks and/or Creo.
- Collaborate with engineers and project managers to develop innovative design solutions.
- Prepare, review, and refine technical drawings to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
- Conduct feasibility studies and identify design improvements to enhance performance, functionality, and manufacturability.
- Maintain accurate documentation of designs, revisions, and project records.
- Work closely with manufacturing teams to address design-related queries and ensure seamless production.
- Ensure adherence to safety standards and engineering best practices in all designs.
- Associates or Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Design, CADD or a related field.
- 3+ years of professional experience in mechanical design and drafting.
- Above Average Proficiency in one or more of the following: Inventor, Creo and/or SolidWorks is required.
- Experience with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and other industry-standard practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Well-organized, takes notes and dedicated to giving clients a positive result.
- Ability to interpret technical specifications and engineering drawings.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to wear multiple hats and jump in on project work when available.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to diverse industries / customer requirements.
- Knowledge of PDM (Product Data Management) systems is an advantage.
- Familiarity with FEA (Finite Element Analysis) and other simulation tools is a plus.
